December offers a variety of engaging events ideal for embracing the festive season. Many activities are free and family-friendly, such as winter-themed aquarium evenings and local holiday markets. These events give residents great opportunities to connect with their community, support small local businesses, contribute to community initiatives, and enjoy the crisp, wintry atmosphere of December.
Cookies & Cocktails | 6:00PM-9:00PM | 12.09.25
On Tuesdays in December, Port City Tavern will host Cookies & Cocktails! Grab a sugar cookie decorating kit, unleash your creativity and enjoy a delicious holiday cocktail in the bar's festive, decked-out space! Guests are welcome to arrive anytime between 6–9pm. Cookie decorating kits and cocktails can be picked up from the main bar — just be sure to show proof of ticket at pickup.
Your ticket includes one cookie-decorating kit and one holiday specialty cocktail. Decorating kits are individually packaged and contain a sugar cookie, colored icings, and sprinkles for a fun, festive experience. See the bartender for the specialty cocktail list. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.
Holiday Spirits at the Bembridge House | 6:00PM- 8:30PM | 12.11.25
Get ready to spread holiday cheer at the Bembridge House with festive drinks, music, and warm company. Step inside the historic home on December 11 or 14 for an evening of candlelit charm and seasonal sparkle, enjoying two glasses of wine or mulled wine, light savory bites, and a self-guided stroll through beautifully decorated rooms at your own pace. Experience Heritage Holidays at the Bembridge House — where Long Beach history shines brightest this season. $20 Members | $25 Community Admission. This event is 21 and over only.
Holiday Ornament Painting at Olive & Rose | 6:00PM- 9:00PM | 12.11.25
Olive & Rose will partner with Clay on First to present a Holiday Ornament Painting workshop. Guests are invited to join talented local artists and friendly staff for an evening of creative fun, perfect for friends, families, and anyone looking to kick off the season with a hands-on activity. Your ticket includes full participation in the guided workshop and a high-quality pottery ornament to paint and take home—supplies, instruction, and glazing are all included. Olive & Rose's courtyard happy hour menu will be available all night, featuring a selection of seasonal cocktails, craft beers, small plates, and nonalcoholic options to enjoy while you paint. Whether you arrive solo or with a group, the relaxed, festive atmosphere provides a great opportunity to socialize, make unique holiday keepsakes, and support local artisans. Reservations are available on OpenTable; advance booking is recommended as spots are limited.
71st Annual Daisy Lane Christmas Parade | 5:00PM | 12.13.25
The 71st Annual Daisy Parade is Saturday, December 13th, 2025 at 5pm on Daisy Avenue From Hill Street to Pacific Coast Highway (PCH).
The Daisy Lane Parade began in 1953 as the brainchild of Gertrude Whittle, who worked with the Long Beach City Council and Council of Churches to help decorate the grass median on Daisy Avenue with a Christmas Village and nativity scene. Today, the parade is stewarded by the Wrigley Area Neighborhood Alliance and Maria Norvell, who is fondly known as the Mother of Christmas Tree Lane.
Shoreline Yacht Club Christmas Boat Parade | 5:30PM - 7:30PM | 12.13.25
The Shoreline Yacht Club’s Christmas Boat Parade Viewing Party provides excellent, unobstructed views of the Long Beach waterfront. Held at Shoreline Village—known for its coastal charm—the event offers an ideal vantage point to watch the parade, the marina and the city lights. Guests can enjoy live holiday music and dancing, a balloon twister, a holiday photo booth (fee applies) and simulated snow in the village during the parade. The procession travels through Shoreline Marina and Rainbow Harbor, and can be seen from Shoreline Village’s restaurants and boardwalk as well as the marina break wall behind the village. Admission to the viewing party is free; no tickets required.

Start the day with a festive breakfast at Noble Rotisserie featuring a special visit from Santa. This event is a favorite for families and includes a delicious breakfast spread, perfect for kicking off the holidays. Reservations are required. Holiday Movies on the Mary | 6:30PM- 8:30PM | 12.16.25 - 12.17.25
Step aboard the Queen Mary and enjoy a one-of-a-kind movie night in our very own private theater! Settle into a cozy seat, grab some popcorn and snacks, and watch holiday classics like A Christmas Story (Dec. 16) and How The Grinch Stole Christmas (Dec. 17) in a truly unique and historic setting. Before the show, arrive early to explore the ship’s art deco interiors and learn a bit of its storied past. Concessions will offer a range popcorn and snacks. Seating is limited, so advanced ticket purchase is recommended.
Live Band Karaoke Party at Ballast Point | 8:00PM- 11:00PM | 12.19.25
Ballast Point Long Beach is bringing festive fun to the stage this holiday season with two special karaoke nights featuring a live band. On December 5 and December 19, Total Request Band will be on hand to back singers live — you pick your favorite karaoke number and perform it with a full, professional backing band behind you. Enjoy the lively, social atmosphere or add to the seasonal spirit by joining the fun! Guests who arrive in an ugly holiday sweater receive 10% off their bill.
Naples Island Christmas Boat Parade | 6:00PM | 12.20.25
The Naples Boat Parade features holiday-decorated boats and watercraft winding their way through the romantic canals of Naples Island in Long Beach. Everyone loves the boat parade because it offers the excitement and festive decorations in the water below, but holiday cheer also emanates in the brightly and creatively decorated homes all along the canals. The theme for 2025's boat parade and holiday decor contest is: A Tropical Winter Wonderland. The best places to view the parade are bridges and waterfronts along the canals around Naples Island (ex. 2nd Street Bridge, Appian Way Bridge, and Alamitos Bay Marina).
Breakfast with Santa at the Aquarium | 8:00AM | 12.20.25
Enjoy a festive Breakfast with Santa at the Aquarium of the Pacific, where fun awaits the whole family. Breakfast will be offered in the Aquarium's Cafe Scuba on December 6, 13 and 20.
Enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast in Café Scuba with a special visit from Surfer Santa! Plus, throughout the morning, a selection of our beloved Aquarium mascots such as the ray, polar bear, and sea otter will be dressed in their holiday best to spread cheer all around. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season with family, friends, and plenty of holiday spirit—Aquarium style! After breakfast, extend the fun by exploring the entire Aquarium.
The menu features French toast sticks, ham and cheese pinwheels, country biscuits with sausage gravy, applewood smoked bacon, scrambled eggs, crispy breakfast tots, seasonal fresh fruit, oatmeal served with brown sugar and butter, yogurt with granola, honey and berries, and pear halves in juice; beverages include hot cocoa, warm apple cider, freshly brewed Starbucks coffee, and orange juice.

New Year's Eve Masquerade Soirée on the Queen Mary | 8:00PM | 12.31.25
Don your best mask and join fellow revelers aboard the iconic Queen Mary in Long Beach for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve Masquerade Soirée. Filled with signature cocktails, elegance, delicious food, surprises, and top-tier entertainment, guests can look forward to an extraordinary celebration like no other, culminating in the best fireworks show on the West Coast.
From ballroom grandeur to secret speakeasies, lively jazz performances to dazzling cabaret, each deck of the historic liner will be transformed into its own immersive experience. Guests can sip champagne, dance into the night, and wander from salon to salon, discovering a world of surprises and performances designed to keep the celebration alive until the early hours.
General Admission tickets start at $170 and include access to the ship, strolling performers, themed entertainment, activities, a complimentary glass of champagne, and fireworks viewing. For those seeking a more elevated evening, VIP admission ($290 per person) offers early entry, a lavish buffet dinner, dessert bar, exclusive lounges, and premium fireworks views. Guests may also extend the magic with an overnight stay aboard the Queen Mary, waking up to the first morning of 2026 on one of the world’s most storied ships.
The Masquerade Soirée begins at 8:00 p.m., with VIP guests welcomed aboard at 7:00 p.m. Festivities continue into the early hours with a celebratory midnight breakfast buffet available as an add-on.
