Escapades
September brings a variety of exciting events to help savor the final days of summer. Many of these events are free and family-friendly, including local farmers' markets and a FREE tennis-for-youth play day.
These offer wonderful opportunities for residents to connect with the people in their community, meet local small business owners, give back to our community, and truly relish in the the warm September weather.
Belmont Shore Car Show | 9:00AM | 09.07.25
Join us for the 34th Annual Belmont Shore Car Show – Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025! The event draws approximately 50,000 attendees with 14 blocks of classic rides, custom builds, vendors, street fair fun, and SoCal vibes. we’ve brought together car lovers, collectors, vendors, and families for one unforgettable day. Whether you’re showcasing your car or just soaking it all in — there’s something for everyone! Admission is free.
Candlelight Long Beach: A Tribute to Adele | 8:45PM | 09.11.25

Craft Beer Long Beach Fest | 1:00 PM–5:00 PM | 09.13.25
Craft Beer LB Fest is the only festival in Long Beach to feature local Long Beach Breweries, Food & Artists. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY event! Feel free to bring the kids, Rancho Los Cerritos (RLC) will provide some kid/family friendly activities.

Aloha Run Long Beach | 7:45 AM | 09.13.25
Join the Southern California’s favorite Hawaiian-themed fun run! The Aloha Run 5K & 10K brings the spirit of the Pacific Islands to San Diego and Long Beach with a scenic waterfront course for all ages. Be inspired by music from the islands and beach tunes as you run or walk the flat and scenic bayside course. The fun begins at the Finish Festival where you can celebrate Aloha-style with a Luau party, with live music, drummers, Tahitian dancers, a vibrant vendor village, photo opportunities, and much more!
FREE Youth Tennis Play Day | 12:00PM-2:00PM | 09.20.25
Come out for a FREE, fun-filled family event with tennis, music, games, and delicious food! Hosted by Bridge the Gap Tennis, a 501c3 non-profit organization, and sponsored by BTG Management and SC Tennis Academy. Kids will enjoy playing tennis, hitting for prizes, and having a blast with games and free food. Everyone of all ages and skill levels is welcome to join the fun!
Please plan on arriving 10 minutes early to sign in
Please only get tickets for the children you bring to help us better plan. Parents are welcome to join and stay the entire time
You may bring your own racket. We will have some available to borrow if needed
Wear non-marking sneakers only (no black soles)
Plan on attending the entire event as scheduled
The players will have multiple breaks during the event

Salsa Dance Class and Social Dancing | 6:00PM-9:00PM | 09.16.25
Step into a world of rhythm and excitement at our salsa class and social dancing night every 3rd Tuesday of the month. Enjoy a lively salsa lesson with Peter Araiza and Jenny Mee, fantastic music, and a welcoming atmosphere perfect for dancing and having fun. Bring your friends, make new connections, and let the music move you. No partner needed—just come ready have fun, and dance the night away!
Oktoberfest at Steelcraft| 2:00PM-10:00PM | 07.26.25-07.27.25
Dust off your lederhosen – Oktoberfest is back at all SteelCraft locations! This month’s Oktoberfest kick-off begins at the Long Beach Steelcraft. Join us for another year of beer-fueled revelry, wiener dog racing, prizes, and questionable dance moves to oompah music. There’s all types of activities for the family including a balloon artist, photo booth, best-dressed contest, a dj and more. We’re talking steins the size of your head and food that’ll make you yodel with joy! Come hungry, come thirsty, and come ready to hold a stein for as long as humanly possible.
SoCal Kidney Walk | 9:00AM | 09.28.25
Gather your friends, family, and fellow kidney community members for this family-friendly 5K at Griffith Park in Los Angeles, CA. Meet Sidney the Kidney, check out information booths, and enjoy a day of fundraising together. Admission is free and the route is wheelchair and stroller friendly.
By registering for the Southern California Kidney Walk you’ll let others know they’re not alone. Your walk builds hope for a future without suffering—for every person in this fight. Registered walkers that raise $100 or more will receive a Kidney Walk t-shirt. Registered walkers that raise $1,000 or more will receive both a t-shirt and long-sleeve t-shirt. To receive a t-shirt to wear at walk day, participants must raise $100+ at least four weeks before walk. If you fundraise $100 or more after August 29, 2025, you will receive your Kidney Walk shirt post-event.
